How to unplug your plumbing…

I’ve worked with so, so many people over the years that have suffered from constipation.

Sometimes it’s a deeper situation like a thyroid problem or the onset of Parkinson’s (yes, constipation can be one of the first signs and can show up years before the onset of a tremor), but so many times it’s really just a lifestyle thing.

Here’s a simple list to help you with your motions…

1. Drink more water. You’d be surprised at how obvious this is. I love the structured hydrogen water from my Kangen, but however you get it, just drink more of it.

2. Give yourself some time and space for movements to happen. One of my clients needed nothing more than to just give herself an extra 20 minutes in the morning to activate peristalsis. Your body needs to be relaxed in order to go.

3. Gargle, hum, breathe - these all stimulate the vagus nerve and the vagal nerves are the main nerves of your parasympathetic nervous system which allow you to go.

4. Sometimes eating a bit more fruits and veggies can be a lifesaver. There are some wonderful gentle powders available to help soothe the lining of the intestines - I love Repairvite by Apex Energetics.

5. Implement one or more of these from the list and practice them for more than a week. In an instant gratification world, sometimes you just need to implement something, stick it out, and re-evaluate after a season - yes, an entire season.

I can help you walk through the season, if you’re needing help. Let’s set up a call.

Love,

Dr. Vanessa
