On resiliency…

There’s one word that separates those of us that will make it to 100 gracefully from those that won’t.

Resiliency.

The oldest living human on record lived to 122.

Vincent Van Gogh was her contemporary.

She woke up at the same time everyday.

Prayed at her window.

Dressed herself.

Listened to music with her walkman (ikr?).

Chatted with all her peeps in the home about current events.

Enjoyed her food, ate meat, and smoked a cigarette after lunch (she quit smoking at 117).

She took a nap everyday.

Had some port wine after dinner.

It wasn’t her genes.

It was her ability to maintain resiliency in all the areas of her life.

She had a spiritual foundation.

She enjoyed music.

She maintained activities of daily living.

She could still taste, enjoy and digest her food.

She didn’t fall apart around chemicals.

She wasn’t an inflammatory mess.

I created a resiliency checklist for you.

You can check out what areas need some assistance and have some fun increasing your resiliency as well as your longevity.

Love,

Dr. Vanessa
